BLOG 5 - Academic Challenges for 2021
This year started in a not so encouraging way, I knew that I was going to have to stay home again, so I prepared myself in a certain way. I was lucky to have a good personal computer and a relatively decent space to get on in college.
At home, one is especially faced with invasive schedules. To having to eat lunch in class or having to interrupt different household tasks, sometimes even doing them at the same time.
If I had to give it some positive aspect, I would say that it is the time that one gains to be with the family, with my sisters or my dog for example. One shares more intimate things, and also academic things that we often overlook with each other.
I would also highlight that, in the absence of travel time by public transport (since I live in a peripheral commune), I have much more time to study and do other types of activities, such as crafts, riding a bicycle, learning things related to computers and even take extra courses.
What I really hate about all this is that the days get very monotonous, there is very little contact with real people, and it all turns to relationships over the internet.
I only hope that I can meet people again at the university this coming year and leave this lifestyle, that the truth is that I assign more negative than positive things to it.
